Christmas Day, and August Civic Holiday Exceptions, employees receive double time for hours worked on these days,
Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve, employees receive time and one half for working these hours,

GENEROUS VACATION RATES;

  1. An employee with one (1) to three (3) full years of employment will earn 6% of their eligible earnings.
  2. An employee with four (4) to six (6) full years of employment will earn 8% of their eligible earnings.
  3. An employee with seven (7) and more years of employment will earn 10% of their eligible earnings.
Vacation Bonus Days are offered for vacation taken outside of the defined busier seasons.
Vacation time may be taken as it is earned rather waiting for a full year.

SHIFT PREMIUM - WIN pays a Shift Premium for evening and weekend hours worked.

SICK LEAVE - Employees earn Sick Leave to be used for work time missed because of illness,

A Wellness Payout - given for a portion of unused sick leave credits,

COMPASSIONATE LEAVE - after the death or serious illness / injury of a spouse or immediate family member,

LEAVES WITHOUT PAY - Maternity / paternity, adoption leave, special personal educational leave etc.

GAPS IN EMPLOYMENT - WIN places a high value on employees who return after leaving employment. Qualifying employees may have their previous vacation percentage entitlements reinstated.

TRAINING - WIN also funds (full/shared) extensive in-house and post secondary training and education opportunities.
